This full-day tour takes you further and deeper into the exceptional nature and history of Kapiti Island. Experience a combination of on-board tour and on Island walking tour.(50/50) with expert guided commentary throughout the day. The tour will highlight significant aspects of our natural and cultural heritage – including the conservation history associated with Kapiti Island- the role Kapiti Island played in the early settlement of the lower North Island and top of the South- the impact of the Treaty of Waitangi- and the impact of whaling on the lower North Island.
